A10 Motorway connects Sebes and Turda through an agricultural region in the interior of Romania, crossing hilly terrain with scarce human occupation.
Aiming to increase connectivity in the region, our work included the Basic Design, Detailed Design, and Technical Assistance of a highway section with 13.3 km of dual carriageway. The work also included 1 grade-separated interchange, 20 bridges and viaducts, 11 overpasses and underpasses, 2 service areas, and 1 main maintenance depot.
The scope of the works:
- Highway and side roads alignment;
- Earthworks;
- Geology and geotechnics;
- Pavements;
- Drainage;
- Retaining structures;
- Bridges and viaducts;
- Fencing;
- Signing, marking, and road safety measures;
- Landscaping and environmental mitigation measures;
- Right of ways and accommodation works.
