- The ZON headquarters building, built to the south of the Campo Grande Station of the Lisbon Metro, consists of 8 storeys above ground, with an average area of 1,750 m2 per storey and 3 basement storeys with a floor area of 6,000 m2. It has two reinforced concrete towers joined from storey 5 to storey 8 by a 30 m long mixed steel-concrete structure. The retaining walls (precast walls) are 10 m high. The infrastructure that surrounds the plot (metro station and water, gas and sewage pipelines) and the work planning led to the application of the top-down excavation solution, in which the structure is built simultaneously with the excavation.
