Cinco District Development

The "Cinco District" development, with approximately 38 thousand square meters and a height of 80 meters distributed over 20 floors, is an innovative office concept that, based on the most basic principles of sustainability, combines hotels, green spaces, garden rooftops, commerce and a square dedicated to events. The office tower seeks to reconcile social and professional life and includes a sky bar & restaurant with 360º views of the river Tagus and the ocean, a vertical garden and several rooftops. The main square will be open to the community, with services and restaurants that support the new offices and promise to energize the area.

The development will have a need for irrigation of approximately 7400 square meters of green areas. It will be supplied with water collected from a borehole and rainwater, which will be stored in a reservoir. The elevators will have an 'efficient management' and all lighting will be low-consumption LEDs. The parking lot – which should be open to the community, although it is not yet clear how it will operate – has 40 parking spots reserved for electric cars.

The project included the development of projects of all engineering disciplines (structure design, excavations, peripheral containment, electrical installations, telecommunications, security, hydraulic installations, HVAC, road network, elevators, gas, acoustic and thermal) and the environmental sustainability certification BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method).
